The PgCertSp&Ex provides you with a critical understanding and appreciation of sport and exercise science, integrating knowledge of specific science, industry guidelines in assessment, evidence-based practice and programming, and relevant theoretical concepts of physical conditioning practice. The programme comprises 15 point and 30 point papers, which may contribute 60 points towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise* or Master of Sport and Exercise.

The PgDipSp&Ex provides you with a critical understanding and appreciation of sport, exercise and science, integrating knowledge of specific science, industry guidelines in assessment, evidence-based practice and programming, and relevant theoretical concepts of physical conditioning practice. In addition, entrepreneurship and creative thinking in leadership, ethical underpinnings to management and governance, and development of the knowledge and skills required to perform research using statistical methods are investigated. The programme comprises 45 points of core papers and 75 points chosen from a selection of other papers from a variety of focus areas, and provides the foundation coursework for those that choose to advance to a Master of Sport and Exercise thesis.

The MSp&Ex builds on prior coursework and provides you with an opportunity to conduct an applied research investigation in a relevant area, equivalent to one year of full time study.

The Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) is designed for health professionals with at least five years’ professional experience who wish to broaden their professional practice competency and expertise. It comprises of papers and research development, which culminates in a thesis.
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree is undertaken by research only. There is no compulsory coursework involved. The PhD is an advanced postgraduate degree that is particularly suitable for students wishing to pursue an academic or research career. A successful candidate will make a significant original contribution to the body of knowledge in relation to a contemporary issue in health and environmental research. Students will have supervisors to guide and advise them, with one assigned as the primary supervisor.
